Variable Kingsnakes
Lampropeltis leonis
(syn. L. m. ‘thayeri‘)
Variable kingsnakes, also called Nuevo Leon kingsnakes or Thayer’s kingsnakes, are native to the highlands of Tamaulipas, Mexico and reach lengths of 2-3′ on average. They are generally more mellow than other kingsnake species and come in a huge range of colours and patterns. We currently keep one, Demi (2014 female).
